daffodils, lilacs, & ferns

the second poetry collection by j.d. crow

This book begins on the other side of Sunflowers & Shadows. Not untouched by grief, but no longer organized around it.

The current collection moves through home, scars, softness without weakness, manhood, responsibility, enduring love, self-respect, weathered roads, rooms, hands, backbone, breath, and the little things that become evidence that a life is still growing.

daffodils, lilacs, & ferns is the opening poem and the current working title for the collection while the manuscript continues to find its final shape.

A different kind of blooming

The collection is not trying to become Sunflowers & Shadows II. It carries forward what mattered, then turns toward peace, humor, strength, companionship, philosophy, desire, and the stubborn beauty of continuing to tend the garden.
